We are more than excited to announce our first headline European tour (part 1) for a very very long time!
We’ll be visiting five of Germany’s lovely cities to celebrate the release (finally!!) of our new album and would love you to come along! All the details and ticket links are below. More to follow soon too! ‘Earth Vs The Pipettes’ will be released on September 13th and we thought we’d celebrate in style by hitting the road. We’re super excited and are promising to be very productive whilst on tour, lots of photos and some videos on the way so keep your eyes peeled for those.
We’re releasing our next single, ‘Call Me’, on Monday 19 July. Here’s the video to it…
The single is available on limited blue 7″ and download with exclusive new track ‘Over Heels’.
Not only that, but this version is a single only version and won’t appear on the album, so enjoy Ani singing the second verse and some super squelchy synths on the single version whilst you can.
Thanks to everyone who came to our shows throughout April and May, we had the best time and it was great to start playing shows again and meeting up with new people and talking music! We saw some great venues, great crowds and great service stations – we all became even more addicted to coffee than ever as well.
To celebrate the single release, we’ll be doing a show at the Lexington in London on Monday 19 July. Tickets are on sale now and it would be great to see some of you there!
We’re heading over to one of our favourite country’s tomorrow to play the Popadelica festival, just outside of Gothenburg. The good folks at gimmeindie are going to stream part of the show, live, for free! It’s a great chance for those of you who are maybe not familiar with the change in sound to check us out. Similarly for those who have seen us live or heard the new stuff, you’ll hear a bunch of the new album, due out June 28 on Fortuna POP! as well.
The stream time will be 5.15pm GMT, so do head over to gimmeindie then to check us out. We’ll give you a wave!
Don’t forget we’re still on tour so come and say hi and catch the real thing! Thanks to everyone who’s come out to see us so far. It really means a lot!
We’re super excited as our new single, ‘Stop The Music’ is out today!
Our favourite website popjustice said it made them go ‘misty eyed and wobbly’, whereas the staple of the indie weeklies, the NME, said ‘it’d be good to listen to… driving along some Italian mountain, like in The Italian Job’.
You can order the five track CD EP here with an exclusive Kompakt remix.
You can order a limited edition red seven inch here
And an i-tunes exclusive bundle with a remix from our favourite San Franciso club mogul, Will Eastman here, this bundle is also available for i-tunes US as well.
Just a reminder that we hit the road come Sunday, we’re super excited to hit the road again after such a long time as it feels like so long. We’ll be playing a selection of songs from the new album and obviously some old stuff too.
We’ll also give a special gift to the first ten through the door each night so please do come along and say hi. The dates are below, hope to see some of you.
We are officially back and we are ready to show you exactly what it is we’ve been up to the past couple of years. The first single from our new album will be released on April 19th on our favourite label Fortuna POP! It’s called ‘Stop The Music’ and today is a special day for us because we are premiering our new video on our new website. It’s all new! (By the way, thepipettes.co.uk will be redirecting here for a few days whilst we sort out our hosting, but no need to change your bookmarks.)
A double whammy really – we’ve put our new single up on our Myspace, click HERE to check it out! We hope you like it. It’s called ‘Stop The Music’ and it’s out on April 19th through Fortuna POP. It comes in three formats, digital bundle, CD and limited edition red vinyl… we’ll get you a pre-order link soon!
